About Me

I'm Bence Kelemen, and running has always been my passion. Starting as a national-level runner (800m in 1:50), I've now transitioned into research, aiming to understand how athletes can reach their full potential in the sport. I hold a Master's degree in running coaching, am a certified MSPE instructor, and am currently a PhD candidate in sport sciences.

By combining practical experience with the latest scientific insights, I create training programs that are both effective and enjoyable, tailored to suit your individual needs.

I've had the privilege of coaching athletes of all levels, from completing their first 5K to achieving national record (Hungarian Women's Road Mile, 2024) and competing in prestigious gold-label races. Whatever your goals may be, I'm committed to helping you unlock your full potential and enjoy the process every step of the way

My Research

In my research, I explore a holistic approach to distance runners' preparation, where physical training is complemented by race tactics and mental preparation, all contributing to peak performance. I have published several high-impact, first-author articles on this topic in international journals, and I have presented nearly 30 scientific talks in both English and Hungarian.

You can read my full articles, including those on the Norwegian endurance model, Polarized and Pyramid intensity distribution in long-distance running, and the Easy Interval Method, through the following ResearchGate link.

About MSPE

Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE) is the most widely used mindfulness-based sport psychology intervention in the literature. It is an innovative mental training program designed for athletes, coaches, and other performers. Drawing on research from sport sciences, psychology, and neuroscience, MSPE offers targeted strategies to develop mindfulness skills that are crucial for achieving consistent, peak performance.

The program consists of six 90-minute sessions, each tailored to foster greater mental clarity and focus. The sessions range from general mindfulness exercises to sport-specific practices, with techniques and strategies aimed at enhancing both individual and tactical approaches to performance.

These practices are carefully structured to help athletes translate their physical training potential into real competitive success, providing the tools necessary to develop mental efficiency and resilience under pressure. MSPE empowers athletes to perform at their best by cultivating mental skills that complement physical training, optimizing both mind and body for optimal competition outcomes.
